Situated beneath Table Mountain and with panoramic ocean views, this treatment centre provides medical detoxification and full primary treatment for addictions of all kinds. Treatment is provided by a multi-disciplinary team including several internationally accredited addictions counsellors as part of the core team.

For patients who wish to extend treatment past the primary phase, on-going rehabilitation is provided in a secondary/tertiary home in Cape Town itself.

As with all our coastal centres, it is ideally situated to provide access to a range of outdoor activities which often form an important component of the treatment programme.

The Addiction Recovery Centre treats people suffering from addiction. The programme philosophy rests on the belief that to recover from addiction it is necessary to abstain.

The treatment programme includes assessment, group therapy, individual counselling sessions, lectures, videos and written assignments. It also involves introduction to self-help meetings. The 12-Step philosophy provides the basis of our approach to a lifestyle of total abstinence.

This rehab centre includes an 8, 14 and 22 week care programme for those in active addiction, and a comprehensive primary, secondary and tertiary phase to our care programme.

The programme consists of group therapy, individual counselling, education, esteem building, cognitive behavioural counselling, grief counselling, lectures and attendance at 12 step meetings.

Creative activities include gardening, physical exercise, yoga and Qi-gong, relaxation and recreational time, visiting speakers, outings and hikes to the surrounding beaches, forests and mountains, creative activities and therapeutic duties.
